The Society of Consulting Psychology defines and champions the highest standards for the science and practice of consulting psychology through the research, experience and expertise of its Members and the individual, group, and organizational clients with whom we work. Psychologically-based consultation methods help individuals and groups become more efficient and effective and help organizations become more productive, healthy and satisfying places to work. Both intrapersonal and interpersonal functioning effects the person, their work team, their organization and/or industry, and relevant societal communities.
SCP was looking to re-developing their existing site and provide online services to their members. SCP required an easy to use interface and management system as well as methods for managing and accepting new members. Solution Developed
Teraeon Consulting set forth objects and keys to success for the new implementation of their site including the development of a member portal for SCP's members, a content management system, and maintaining a clean and easy to use user interface for current as well as potential members.
Teraeon consulting then developed the application with features that gave SCP's members a value added service for their membership which include:
A Password Protected Members Only Section
A Consultant Locator that enables the public to search for Div 13 members by
their specialization. (You'll need to add yourself to this locator from the "My Profile" section.
- A Membership Directory where members can search for other members.
- Automated job posting
- An online bookstore via Amazon.com that helps to raise revenue for
SCP.
- The ability to register for Division 13 online using a credit card
- The ability to register for Distance Learning Programs onlne using a credit card
- A members only forum/bulletin board that is integrated into the
actual website (compared to current online forum that is separate from
website)
Benefits
The benefits to SCP have been numerous. While making membership management much easier, SCP also has the capabilities of giving their members online services and calloboration functionality for members to better communicate with each other.
Teraeon helped reduce the website maintenance time, as well as help SCP members get more out of their membership.
