Enterprise Content Management
Teraeon's Content Management Server (Ordinal Content Management Server) is
unlike
any other on the market today. It enables the
complete
separation of powers, gives developers a toolkit for creating
plug-in's to enhance functionality on corporate websites, and allows content Administrators
to create content and change website templates in an easy to use fashion.
In the traditional setting, changing the design of a site is a daunting
task. In most organizations there are many static files that need to be
converted, with Ordinal CMS, changing the look and feel is a simple process, and
the entire corporation site can be converted, both the static as well as
dynamic pages of the site. Our test results have shown that Teraeon's burst publishing technology
delivers blistering results for rapidly deploying website changes.
Tier 3 Static Website:
|
Static websites are the most basic level of web development. These sites
are primarily used by companies and organizations where information for their site
does not change, and changes to their site are primarily sent to an IT developer.
The developer executes both the development and content management functions for
the company or organization.

Tier 2 - Database Back-End:
|
|
Database driven sites are usually mistaken for Content Management Systems. While
they enable users to manage certain content on the site, it usually involves only
parts of the website which change frequently such as press releases or product's
for an e-store.
In this example the IT Developer is still responsible for deploying static content
as well as deploying programming changes for the site. This type of site is very
cost effective, as long as static changes do not happen very often.

Tier 1 - Content Management System
|
|
In today's world, enterprise level web development must take on a different meaning.
Enterprise websites are analogous to a living organism, constantly growing and changing
as the company or organization grows. Content management systems allow organizations
to manage all content on their website through the use of development tools that
are easier to use than HTML editors and application development environments. It
allows for the "Separation of Powers" enabling separate job functions for IT Developers
as well as Content Administrators.
